Wayne County Prosecutor Charges Cass Tech Quarterback
DETROIT, MI – The Wayne County Prosecutor charges Cass Tech Quarterback Jayru Campbell with one felony and one misdemeanor charge.
Kym Worthy, the Wayne County Prosecutor, during a news conference today announced charges against Jayru Campbell. Campbell is charge with:
- Attempt to do great bodily harm less than murder
- Aggravated assault
Campbell is a 17-year-old junior at Cass Tech. In January Jayru Campbell had an altercation with a school security guard. It is alleged that Campbell body slammed the security guard to the floor. Those actions can be seen in the video which was posted online.
Campbell is considered a four-star recruit for Michigan State’s 2015 recruiting class.
