Surveillance in Port Huron Township Nets Drugs


PORT HURON, MI – Two separate investigations by the St. Clair County Drug Drug ArrestTask Force ended with the confiscation of drugs over the past two days.According to St. Clair County Sheriff Tim Donnellon, the DTF was conducting an investigation into drug use and sales at the skate park on Carney Road in St. Clair. During the course of the investigation, the DTF conducted traffic stops on three vehicles that contained five people who were in possession of marijuana and were in the process of selling marijuana. The stops, which occurred about 6:00 p.m. on July 15th, ended with two 16 year olds from St. Clair and a 16 year old from East China taken into custody and two 17 year olds from St. Clair being arrested. Marijuana, money, drug paraphernalia, manufacturing and distributing materials, cell phones and two vehicles were confiscated.The five suspects were released pending issuance of warrants.

A second investigation, involving the sale of cocaine in the Port Huron Township area, ended with traffic stops of two vehicles in the area of Beach Road and Lapeer Road Wednesday night at about 8:00 p.m. Located inside the vehicles was crack cocaine, powder cocaine, methamphetamine, marijuana and analogues. Two women, ages 29 and 45 from Port Huron and Port Huron Township were arrested and lodged in the St. Clair County Intervention and Detention Center. They face charges of possession of cocaine with intent to deliver, possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, possession of methamphetamine, possession of analog pills, maintaining a drug vehicle and habitual offender. Seized during the stops was cocaine, marijuana, methamphetamine, cash, drug paraphernalia, two vehicles and cell phones.
