Detroit Police Seek Information in Shooting on City’s Westside


DETROIT, MI – The Detroit Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating and identifying an unknown suspect wanted in connection with a non-fatal shooting that occurred on the city’s west side.NFS

On Sunday, April 17th, 2016, at approximately 9:50 p.m., in the 4000 block of West Warren, an unknown suspect approached the 20 year old female victim from behind and stated “Give me that phone”. As the victim gave her phone to the suspect, he fired a shot, striking her in the body. As a result, the woman was treated for a non-life threatening injury. The suspect escaped in an awaiting gray Toyota Camry with tinted windows.




The suspect is described as a black male, dark complexion, with a five-o- clock shadow, wearing a navy blue baseball cap with an old English “D” on the front, navy blue tee-shirt, blue jeans, armed.
