Five Arrested in Cass County on Drug Charges
CASSOPOLIS, MI – The Cass County Drug Enforcement team announces that on Thursday, April 20th, 2017, they assisted agents from the Michigan Department of Corrections.
CCDET Detectives accompanied MDOC parole/probation agents with random home checks of individuals that are currently on probation or parole that live in Cass County. During the home checks 4 individuals were arrested and a fifth person was arrested on Friday 04/21/2010, as a result of an investigation during the home checks.
In the 100 block of Willard St. in the city of Dowagiac, a 55 year old male was arrested for possession of marijuana and on a parole violation.
In the 300 block of Oak St. in the city of Dowagiac, a 23 year old male was arrested for possession of Marijuana and held on a parole violation.
In the 400 block of Oak St. a 26 year old female was arrested for possession of marijuana, and a 32 year old male from the same residence was lodged on a parole violation.
In the 300 block of E. Division St., in the city of Dowagiac, the home check produced evidence of methamphetamine use and alcohol. further investigation of this incident occurred on Friday 04/21/2017. As a result of the investigation a 38 year old male was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and parole violation. All individuals that were arrested will be arraigned on their charges in the 4th district court of Cass County.
