ALLENDALE, MI – A woman reported to Grand Valley State University Police that she was the victim of a sexual assault on campus on Saturday September 9th, 2017.
Grand Valley State University Police are looking to the pubic for help following the alleged sexual assault that was reported to them on Monday at approximately 6:30 p.m. However, the victim stated that the assault occurred between 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 9th, and 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, September 10th.
Campus police sent out an alert at 8:50PM Monday evening that a group of five to six males approached a lone female near Hoobler and Frey Living Centers and one of the males sexually alleged assaulted the female. The group of males ran away in a southwest direction. No further details were available.
The suspect is described as a white male approximately 6’1-6’2″, thin build, wavy brown hair, wearing brown shorts, red jacket and a hat. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the campus police department at (616) 331-3255.
