DETROIT, MI – Keeping true to his word and vision, Police Chief James Craig has executed the latest raid in Detroit with ‘Operation Mistletoe’.
The raid began at 1 p.m. in a 1.6-square mile area near Quincy and Clairmont on the city’s west side. The raids have involved dozens of officers from the Detroit Police, Wayne County Sheriffs Office, and the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. This raid was focused on apprehending those known to sell narcotics or prey on residents in the area.
Based on compiled data, the targeted area ranked No. 2 on the west side for narcotics complaints. A total of 20 warrants were executed which involved 113 people based on 44 complaints of drug sales. 27 people have been shot in the neighborhood in the past year.
Craig already has hinted at a fourth sweep. That one is being called Operation Icebreaker. “Coming to a neighborhood near you,” Craig said.
Chief Craig is a man true to his word. Thank you Chief !
