DETROIT, MI – The Help Wanted sign is out and the City of Detroit is hiring. Some 350 jobs are up for grabs. Everything from police officers, bus drivers, general auto mechanics, construction inspectors, buildings trades workers, general electrical workers, plumbers and other workers are being sought.
The job fair goes from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. February 28th through March 1st at Cobo Center in downtown Detroit. Anyone wishing to apply for the positions must apply online before, during or after the job fair to be considered for any of the jobs. Job seekers should also bring multiple copies of their resumes.
City officials have said preference will be given to Detroit residents and honorably discharged veterans. Applicants can preregister here. Parking at Cobo Center will be free.
