MARQUETTE, MI – Mitchell James Skiba, 19-years-old, of Alpena and Logan Charles Beach, 19-years-old, of Presque Isle have been arraigned on multiple counts in Marquette County District Court.

Logan Beach is charged with two felony counts of malicious destruction of a building and with two misdemeanor counts of malicious destruction of personal property. Beach is still lodged in the Marquette County Jail.
The alleged incidents occurred on April 14th, 2014. At about 3AM police in Marquette responded to a call in the 800 block of North Front Street on a report of a chair having been thrown through a window of a residence.
Investigating officers did find damage to the residence. The investigation found further damages to more than 10 homes and one vehicle on the city’s east side to have been committed by the two.
Police searched the area and found three male subjects who were allegedly under the influence of alcohol. Evidence was collected from the suspects and they were issued minor in possession tickets.
Further evidence collected was used to confirm the investigating officers’ suspicion the suspects were allegedly responsible for all of the damage, police said.
With the assistance of Northern Michigan University Public Safety officers, Marquette police gathered the necessary evidence and interviews to submit a report for review by the Marquette County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
