PORT HURON, MI – A traffic stop in the area of Dove and Michigan Roads in Port Huron Township ended with a person in custody and the seizure of $4000 worth of crack cocaine.
According to Sheriff Tim Donnellon, the St. Clair County Drug Task Force was conducting an investigation into the sale of crack cocaine in the Port Huron area. On Thursday at about 3:00 p.m., the DTF stopped a vehicle driven by a 23 year old man from Detroit. A search of the vehicle revealed a large amount of crack cocaine, along with marijuana, drug paraphernalia and cash.
The man was arrested and taken to the St. Clair County Intervention and Detention Center. He is expected to be charged with possession with intent to deliver crack cocaine, possession of marijuana and being a habitual offender.
The St. Clair County Sheriff K-9 Unit and Port Huron Police Road Patrol assisted in the investigation.
