ALPENA, MI – ALDI corporation has received the backing of the Alpena County Road Commission in a revised plan concerning access road issues for their proposed location.
ALDI Corporation recently made a request to the Alpena Road Commission to approve a permit so the company could install a new driveway on Bagley Street. That permit was denied. In recent developments though the road commission is supporting an alternative plan.
ALDI is proposing to connect to and share the Marathon gas station driveway on Bagley. An agreement with Blarney Castle who owns the Marathon gas station and ALDI will have to be worked out between the two corporations and the plan still has to be approved by the Alpena Township Planning Commission.
The Alpena Road Commission would prefer ALDi construct an access drive to the “Potter Hill Road” project.
