PORT HURON, MI – The second suspect in the early Tuesday morning armed robbery of the Mobil gas station is in custody.
According to St. Clair County Sheriff Tim Donnellon, the suspect, a 16 year old male, was found yesterday at his home in the 1700 block of 27th Street, where he was taken into custody without incident.
The holdup occurred shortly after 1:30 Tuesday morning at the Mobil gas station at 32nd Street and I-69 in Port Huron Township. Two people came into the store wearing masks and demanding money. The clerk told deputies a weapon was observed. Once the suspects got the money, they ran from the store and headed south. The first suspect, a 20 year old man from Port Huron, was arrested a short time later. He was found hiding in a car in the 2500 block of Division Street.
The 20 year old man is expected to be arraigned today in 72nd District Court in Port Huron. The 16 year old was transported to the Macomb County Juvenile Center. He is expected to have a juvenile hearing today in St. Clair County Circuit Court Family Division.
