Wright & Filippis Media Statement:

As we have communicated on several occasions during the past year, Wright & Filippis, Inc. is now exclusively focused on our core business lines: Prosthetics, Orthotics, Mobility and Access. This strategic shift came in response to the many ongoing changes in health care delivery and reimbursement.

As a result, the company has divested a number of non-core business lines.  Most recently – earlier this spring – we sold our CPAP (continuous positive airway pressure), DME (durable medical equipment) and oxygen operations to Lincare, a respected national leader in these categories.  The Lincare transition is still underway.  Some Wright & Filippis employees have transferred to become Lincare employees, but as is often the case in these types of transitions, some positions have been eliminated.  Since the transition is continuing, we do not have final numbers at this time.

Wright & Filippis, Inc. is now well positioned as a recognized innovator in prosthetics, orthotics and custom mobility products, along with home accessibility solutions. The company’s plans remain firmly focused on the patient while addressing the many changes and challenges in the health care industry today. We have aggressive growth plans for the months and years ahead and look forward to sharing future updates on our progress.

Some employees have been transferred to Lincare, while some positions have been eliminated.

If you have any questions regarding your ongoing needs through Wright & Filippis and have been a client that has been based through the Alpena location, please call the Tawas office for your needs.
