ALPENA, MI – The weekend of August 16th and 17th will see hundreds turn out for the Relay For Life of Alpena County and the first annual Stoneport 5K Quarry Run/5K Walk. Both events are taking place on the same weekend to help fight cancer.
It is not to late to get involved in both charity events. The Relay For Life of Alpena County currently has 32 teams signed up with 305 participants. The Relay For Life movement features community events that offer an inspiring opportunity to honor cancer survivors, promote how individuals can reduce their cancer risk, and raise money to help end cancer.
It is also a time to remember people lost to the disease, and honor people who have fought or are fighting cancer.
