Redford Township Police Want to Identify Woman in Video

REDFORD, MI – The Redford Township Police Department is investigating a LAFseries of larcenies and attempted larcenies from parked cars that occurred at about 2:50am on 08-20-14 near the intersection of Garfield and Midland. The area is a residential neighborhood east of Beech Daly and north of Five Mile.

An area resident’s private security cameras captured the event. The lighting and quality of the video makes detailed identification difficult, but some features of the suspects and their vehicle can be seen.

At least three suspects arrived in a light colored four-door car. Two of the suspects got out of the car and attempted to enter every parked vehicle within easy walking distance. A third person was driving the car. One suspect was apparently male. Another suspect was a white female appearing to be in her 20’s, with long light-colored hair. Her general build, clothing, and hairstyle are identifiable in the video.

The suspects only entered vehicles that were not locked.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Redford PD at (313) 387-2551. Refer to case number 14-6160.
