Smooth. No huge craters to swallow your car. And remember that railroad crossing that you used to slow to a crawl to cross? Maintain your legal speed because that nightmare is history too.
Grant Street construction is completed and is open to all traffic as of 6 p.m., August 26th, 2014.
The $1 million project included bike path lanes on both sides of the road – from Hobbs Drive to Brooke Street, sidewalks and an extended center-left turn lane from Addison Street to Brooke.
Pavement markings and future signage will indicate the bike lane and direction of travel.
The project also included upgrades to the water and sanitary sewer systems along with the necessary storm sewer and drainage over the length of the project.
