ALPENA, MI – For those who have not noticed and for those who want to remain in denial, northern Michigan is going to have very early falls colors this year.
Overcast days, lots of rain and very cool days have not made for the best summer that northern Michigan has ever had. But it seems that the fall colors will be coming out early.
Take a drive by the cemetery on M-32 and the trees are already beginning to turn.
Drive further out on M-32 and even more evidence of that can be noticed from the Alpena County Airport and beyond. It becomes more apparent when you fly over the trees that it can be seen that fall will be upon all of us very soon.
