ALPENA, MI – During an unscheduled flyover during the Labor Day weekend of the Meijer construction on M-32 it was noticed that a great deal is taking shape.
Aerial views always give a different prospective than what is normally seen from ground level.
In the photos it was noticed that the roof of the new Meijer Supercenter is already being installed.
Parking lots are also starting to be paved. From this vantage point the entire layout of the property can be seen.
Most of the major businesses along M-32 can be seen in the above photo.
In the second photo is a closer view of the Meijer property.
Construction is moving along quickly.
It would seem that if the pace is kept at this level, the new store will be open sooner than anticipated which is tentative for April of 2015.
It is noticed that grass seed has also been put down in those areas that will be buffers and around the retention pond as well.
