ALPENA, MI – The large crane that has been in place working on the new Meijer Supercenter was being loaded up on trailers early this evening to be taken away. That means that the heaviest portions of the project are now in place and done.
Heavy equipment still remains on the property to be used but for everyone who has been watching the construction, the large crane had been lifting in the precast walls and also installing the steel for the roof.
Most of the asphalt has been put down for the driveways and parking lots. Currently, from what can be seen, the front portion of the store is starting to be put together. Further drainage is also being installed along M-32 and also to Bagley Street.
