Arrest Made in Theft from Ric’s Food Market in Interlochen

INTERLOCHEN, MI – Grand Traverse Sheriff’s Detectives arrested JaredRics
Edward Dreffs, a 22-year-old East Bay Township man, in connection with the August 13th incident at Ric’s Food Market in Interlochen.

It is alleged that Jared Dreff went into a checkout lane during business hours, grabbed $100 in cash from the till, and fled from the store on foot.

Dreff’s was arrested today at a local hotel on U.S. 31 in East Bay Township.

An investigation by Sheriff’s detectives led the Grand Traverse County Prosecutor’s office to issue a warrant for Dreffs, charging him with Larceny from a person, which is a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison.

He is currently lodged at the Grand Traverse County Jail.
