Ten homes were severely impacted by the tornado Sunday morning in the Fairview Farms subdivision in Rochester Hills. Despite all the damage, there were no reported injuries.
The National Weather Service confirms an EF-1 tornado ripped through Rochester Hills around 6am Sunday morning. With wind speeds of 90 mph, the twister cut a one and a quarter mile path of destruction that was 150 yards wide in just 2 minutes. The tornado formed at 5:57am ET and was gone by 5:59am ET.
According to the National Weather Service, the tornado started near Lambeth Park and New Kent Road moving east-northeast. It ended near West Ridge Drive and Spring Creek Road.
