AUBURN HILLS, MI – During a two day concert swing-through at the Palace of Auburn Hills, country superstar Jason Aldean presented a check for $660,000 to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure – Detroit Chapter.
Aldean held his Concert for the Cure on October 11th, 2014. It was his 9th Annual
#ConcertForTheCure and it was held in Detroit this year.
Saturday’s show at the Palace of Auburn Hills was designated as his 2014 “Concert For The Cure.”
Aldean gave the local Susan G. Komen for the Cure affiliate a portion of the money he made from ticket sales.
But the singer says his show “isn’t just about raising money to help find a cure.” Aldean explains that he also wants the event to be “about celebrating everyone who is going through treatment now and those who’ve been able to beat the disease.” Jason launched his “Concert For The Cure” in 2006 in honor of a friend who died of breast cancer.
