GARFIELD TOWNSHIP, MI – On Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at about 8am, Grand Traverse Sheriff’s deputies investigated a domestic assault incident which occurred at a residence within the Kings Court mobile home community in Garfield Township.
A 33-year-old male who lives at the residence was arrested after it was learned he punched a wall near his girlfriend’s head and grabbed her by the neck. The man had injury to his knuckles and the woman had a scrape injury on her neck. The man had been drinking. His BAC result was .03%.
The couple have children in common, and one six-year-old child was in another room in the home during the incident.
The man was lodged in the Grand Traverse County Jail. A report will be forwarded to the Prosecutor’s Office with a request for a charge of Domestic Assault.
