Flint Funeral Home Murder Suspect Arrested


FLINT, MI — Police investigated what they deemed as a suspicious death on Sunday, Oct. 12th, 2014 inside the former Reigle Funeral Home at Saginaw and Bruce streets on the Flint’s south side.

Officers were called around 9:20 a.m. to the 2400 block of South Saginaw for a possible shooting and found a man dead inside the building.  That man was later identified as 49-year-old Shannon Cook.




Cook’s body was discovered when a co-worker went to check the former business building after he was told Cook did not go home Saturday night.

Michael Albro of Otisville, 20-years-old, has been arrested, charged and arraigned for Felony Murder 1st Degree, Armed Robbery, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Carrying a Concealed Weapon and Felony Firearm for the murder of Shannon Cook.

Albro was previously convicted on 4 counts of Arson in 2012 in Genesse County.  He was on probation at the time of the murder.
