DETROIT, MI – There is no other music recording company in the world that is as undeniably legendary as Motown. It is Detroit and Detroit is Motown.
The music from Hitsville USA continues to span the decades.
There would be very few in Michigan and even the nation that could say that they have not listened to or been influenced in some way by the recordings that were made on West Grand Blvd.
It is a heritage that Detroit holds in high esteem.
It was 1959. Berry Gordy forms his own record label. As the years move forward, he finds the best of the best artists like Diana Ross & the Supremes, the Four Tops, the Jackson 5, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, the Marvelettes, the Miracles and so many more.
