Battle Creek Police Searching for Rape Suspect of 15 yr Old

BATTLE CREEK, MI – The Battle Creek Police are searching for a subject involved in a forcible sexual assault of a 15-year-old female that occurred sometime in mid-August. suspect

The Battle Creek Police Department said the girl disclosed the assault to her mother only recently and it was reported to police Oct. 8th, 2014.

The incident occurred somewhere in the area of Franklin and Calhoun St in a back yard. Attached is a sketch artists rendering of the suspect based on the victim’s description.

During the interview with police, the girl said the incident occurred about twilight on a day in the middle of August after she and a friend were chased by a dog near Calhoun and Franklin streets.

The girl said she and her friend ran in different directions and she ran behind an abandoned house on Franklin Street where she encountered the man.

She was dragged to the ground and sexually assaulted.

Suspect Description

  • Racial Identification:  Black Male
  • Approximate Age:  Early 30’s
  • Height:  Approximately 6’2 with a normal build
  • Further Identifying Remarks:  Pock marked cheeks, a full beard and short nappy hair. At the time of the incident he was wearing a dirty white t-shirt, dark blue jeans, and black work boots.
