Though Lake Huron saw it’s share of large waves, it was nothing compared to those on Lake Michigan near Chicago.
Record size waves closed down the north bound lanes of Lake Shore Drive in Chicago on Halloween. The rough waters also shut down a floating haunted house attraction at the famed Navy Pier after violent waves on Lake Michigan damaged the structure.
Navy Pier officials also closed the Ferris wheel, Grand Ballroom and the East End Plaza because of the weather.
