ALPENA, MI – Deputies from the Alpena County Sheriff’s Office were involved in yet another vehicle chase on Friday October 31st, 2014.
Officers received a broadcast of a disturbance at a bar in the city of Alpena.
The 37-year-old male refused the offer of a cab and left the bar in his vehicle.
At around 2:40 am, Deputies spotted the vehicle on Cathro Rd.
Deputies attempted to pull the vehicle over, but the driver refused to stop. The driver then ran off the roadway driving through several lawns and around a residence. The vehicle became stuck behind the residence and the driver was taken into custody.
The 37-year-old male from Alpena was locked up in the Alpena County Jail for the following charges;
- Fleeing and Eluding
- Operating while intoxicated
- Driving while license suspended
Alpena County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Alpena City Police, MSP, and Alpena City Ambulance.
On October 28th, 2014 two teens were arrested after they took officers on a high speed chase through the streets of Alpena.
Both individuals were lodged at the Alpena County Jail for the following charges;
The driver a 19-year-old male from Alpena was lodged for fleeing and eluding and driving while license suspended.
The passenger a 17-year-old from Alpena was lodged for resisting and obstructing.
