LITTLEFIELD TOWNSHIP, MI – On Thursday, October 30th, 2014, at approximately 1:20 p.m., Emmet County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to a residence on Lakeview Road in Littlefield Township for a report of a male victim being held at gun point, according to Sheriff Pete Wallin.
The male victim had gone to the residence to pick up firewood that he had dropped off.
The victim was being held in his vehicle at gun point and told by the offender if he didn’t load the wood up and return his money, he was going to be shot.
The investigation revealed that a civil dispute turned into a criminal matter resulting in Kyle James Granger, 32-years-old, from Alanson, MI. being arrested for Felonious Assault, Unlawful Imprisonment, and Felony Firearm.
Bond was set at $20,000 Cash/Surety.
Granger posted bond and will be arraigned on November 5, 2014 at 8:30 a.m., in 90th District Court.
