AUBURN HILLS, MI – On Monday, November 3rd, 2014 at 1:21am officers from the Auburn Hills Police Department responded to a report of an in progress theft from a vehicle in the 2600 block of Greenstone.
A witness reported seeing three people dressed all in black taking hub caps from a vehicle. As the officers arrived the suspects fled the scene on foot into a neighboring apartment complex.
The officers located and stopped the suspects leaving the area in a vehicle.
Inside the suspect vehicle officers found empty auto jack box(s) and four Goodyear Tires and Rims stolen from a vehicle on Greenstone.
Arrested were: Elijah Duane Holden 19-years-old from Auburn Hills, Marquice Demontez Ball 17 years old from Pontiac, and Jalen Jarrill Cox 19-years-old from Pontiac. A warrant was obtained for a Coryell Tremayne Gross, a 20-year-old Pontiac residents, who fled the scene.
On Tuesday, November 4th, 2014 Holden, Ball and Cox were arraigned at the 52-3rd District Court before Magistrate Soma. Not Guilty pleas were entered and each were given $25,000 personal bond.
On Wednesday, November 5th, 2014 Coryell Gross turned himself in on the warrant to the 52-3rd District Court and was arraigned before Magistrate Soma. A not guilty plea was entered. Gross was received a $20,000 personal bond.
A pre-exam conference is scheduled for November 10, 2014 at 8:30 am before Judge Nancy Carniak for all four defendants.
The tires and rims valued at $3000.00 were returned to the owner and were put back on the vehicle for the owner by Byers Towing.
Larceny from a Motor Vehicle is a Felony punishable by 5 years in jail and or $10,000 fine.
