OSSINEKE TOWNSHIP, MI – Members of the Huron Undercover Narcotics Team (HUNT) executed a search warrant on a residence in Ossineke Township on Friday, November 7th, 2014 after receiving a tip that a girl was possibly being held against her will.
It is alleged that she was being held by two male subjects at an Ossineke Road residence and that the two suspects were to be involved in distributing heroin and the manufacturing of methamphetamine.
HUNT Detectives along with troopers with Michigan State Police safely removed a 17-year-old female victim from the scene.
During an interview with the victim, detectives were made aware that illegal narcotics were hidden in the house. The female victim also alleges that a sexual assault took place.
Police conducted a search of the residence and found heroin, along with evidence related to the manufacture of methamphetamine. Detectives also found evidence of the sexual assault that the victim had told them of.
A 43 year-old male suspect, with a lengthy criminal history, was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant and a single count of 3rd Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct.
Further charges are expected to be filed against the 43-year-old suspect and the second individual who was also taken into custody.
No further information was provided about either suspect.
