Job duties include: entry of Court Orders into LEIN (Law Enforcement Information Network); Assisting Departmental Law Enforcement Officers; Communication with other law enforcement agencies, Central Dispatch and the Courts; Jail Access Control, and Answering Telephone and Coordinating Service Requests.
You can expect 6 to 8 weeks of paid training for each new Civilian Cadet. Once trained you may anticipate 16 to 32 hours per 2 week pay period, with a starting rate of pay at $8.15.
The primary shifts to be worked after training will be 4:00 p.m. to midnight and or midnight to 8:00 a.m.
High school diploma and some college preferred, proficient keyboard skills required.
