The annual Bolenz Jewelry Holiday Parade kicks off at 5:30pm at the corner of Ninth Street and Chisholm.
Thousands line Chisholm Street and Second Avenue every year to watch the annual night time lighted event.
There is a new and very special float that will make it’s debut this year. That entry is being sponsored by First Federal of Northern Michigan. First Federal continues to be a leader and cornerstone in the business community which the Alpena area greatly appreciates.
The Christmas Holiday Season officially kicks off with the annual night time parade. It is a wonderful way to put the community into the spirit of the holiday’s.
The parade route begins at the Annex building parking lot at the corner of Chisholm and Ninth Street. The parade begins by turning left onto Chisholm, left onto Second Avenue, right onto Water Street, and ends in the parking lot behind City Hall.
Temperatures will only reach a high of about 27 degrees during the day on Friday but the actual feel will only be 12 above. So plan to dress warm to watch the parade.
Last year was bitter cold but that did not stop the thousands who came out to attend the holiday event.
