EATON COUNTY, MI – According to Sheriff Tom Reich, On Friday evening, November 28th, 2014 Eaton County Deputies responded to a Retail Fraud in progress at a Delta Twp retailer. Eaton County Jail

The caller advised that a female suspect that had “pushed out” a cart full of merchandise earlier in the week was now back filling up another shopping cart.

The female suspect took over 2 hours selecting merchandise and then again “pushed out” the cart without paying.

After leaving the store she was arrested by deputies without incident. The suspect was in possession of $3224.26 worth of merchandise that she had just taken.Deputies subsequently located $1406.23 worth of stolen merchandise from another Delta Twp retailer in the suspect’s car.

The female, 35-years-old, from Mason, was lodged for Felony Retail Fraud in the 1st Degree at the Eaton County Jail.

The suspect has a lengthy history for Retail Frauds and is currently on Circuit Court probation for Felony Retail Fraud in the 1st Degree.
