According to St. Clair County Sheriff Tim Donnellon, a 46-year-old man from St. Clair was arrested early Tuesday morning in the city of St. Clair.
Shortly after 3:00 Tuesday morning, December 2nd, 2014 officers from the St. Clair Police Department and deputies from the Sheriff’s Office responded to a call of a possible home invasion in progress in the 600 block of Riverside Drive in the city of St. Clair. During a search of the area, the man was located and was apprehended.
A subsequent investigation by detectives from the Sheriff’s Office and officers from St. Clair Police led to information that the man may have been involved in the home invasions in the Diamond Cove subdivision in East China Township. A search warrant was obtained and executed at the man’s home. The search found several items that had been stolen from homes in Diamond Cove.
The suspect remains lodged in the St. Clair County Intervention and Detention Center. He is scheduled to be arraigned on several home invasion charges on December 5th, 2014 in Marine City’s 72nd District Court.
