CLARENDON TOWNSHIP, MI – On Friday December 5th, 2014 at approximately 7:00am deputies were dispatched to an address in the 22,000 block of T. Drive South in the township of Clarendon for a domestic assault complaint in which one individual was unconscious and not breathing on his own.
Upon arrival, deputies discovered emergency personnel on scene performing CPR on the male victim, a 64-year-old male resident.
The son of the victim, a 33-year-old resident of the home was interviewed and admitted to being involved in the assault.
He was taken into custody and lodged at The Calhoun County Jail for Aggravated Domestic Assault. His name is being withheld pending arraignment.
The victim was initially transported to Oaklawn Hospital of Marshall, however was later transferred to Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo where he remains in serious condition.
