At approximately 10:30pm on December 2nd, 2014 Flint Police responded to the 3800 block of Beechwood in response to a report of a female outside a residence threatening to shoot a gun.
Upon arrival on scene, the suspect’s described vehicle was spotted and stopped. The driver of that car was arrested and a hand gun was seized.
Chelsea Gamber, 19-years-old, has been charged and arraigned concerning this incident. Gambler has been charged with Carrying a Concealed Weapon.
Based on commentary on the Flint Police Department Facebook page, further information is that Chelsea Gamber was drinking and driving. Police did not charge her with any alcohol driving offenses though they could have since she is a minor.
Eric Gamber, her soon to be ex-husband, is the owner of the vehicle that she was driving and stopped in. The weapon is legally registered to him. He states that he was in Wisconsin and had forgotten that he had left the gun in the glove compartment. He goes on to say “I’m the one paying for everything – truck impound, my pistol confiscated, almost lost my job”.
