LANSING, MI – Michigan State Police is asking for the public’s help in identifying the driver who eluded police on Dec. 7th, 2014, following the crash that killed Ingham County Deputy Grant Whitaker.

The suspected vehicle is described as a light colored SUV.

MSP investigators are still working to gather additional identifiers and will release additional information as it becomes available.

On Dec. 7th, 2014, at approximately 2 a.m., Ingham County Deputy Grant Whitaker was killed in a single-car crash during a vehicle pursuit in Ingham County.

The crash occurred outside of the village of Stockbridge, in the area of M-52 and Dexter Trail.

Anyone with information regarding the vehicle or occupant(s) of the vehicle is asked to call the MSP Lansing Post tip line at (517) 331-5634.
