Battle Creek Police arrest suspect for shooting out Car Windows


BATTLE CREEK, MI – Battle Creek Police have arrested a suspect that they believe shot out the windows to a number of vehicles.  He is also suspected of an armed robbery.Battle Creek Suspect

Officers of the Battle Creek Police Department located an individual matching the description of a suspect involved in a Malicious Destruction of Property at 354 SW Capital Ave from Sunday, December 7th, 2014.




Video exists of the suspect whom shot out the windows to a number of vehicles. On December 12th, 2014, an individual matching the description was observed by officers in the area of Capital Ave SW and Goguac St.

When confronted, the individual was found to be in possession of a BB gun. The individual was also found to be wearing a red sweatshirt and cinch sack under a black coat.

Subject was detained and brought to the Battle Creek Police Department and turned over to the Detective Bureau.

The Suspect is a 39-year-old Battle Creek resident who ultimately confessed to this crime and four additional Malicious Destruction of Property incidents in the area. He is also suspected of an armed robbery in the McCamily parking structure last week, and a number of additional Destruction of Property Complaints.

His name has not been released pending arraignment.
