DETROIT, MI – An 18-year-old female student from Texas who went to Detroit over the Thanksgiving holiday remains missing and police are asking for help from the public to locate her.
Michigan State Police and the Detroit Police Department are trying to locate Jasmine Moody. She was last seen around 7:30pm December 4th, 2014 leaving her friend’s home in the 3700 block of Baldwin on Detroit’s east side.
She left the home on Baldwin on foot after getting into an argument with her friend who lives at that address.
Jasmine came to Detroit for Thanksgiving break to visit Brittany, a friend she met on Twitter about a year or two ago.
Jasmine Moody’s parents flew to Michigan from Arkansas to talk to Detroit Police investigators in hopes of finding out what’s happened to their 19-year-old daughter. Her parents do not believe their daughter would have just walked off on her own in the city of Detroit.
Moody is a student at Texas Woman’s University. Authorities state that her cell phone has been turned off for days. Police have also confirmed that she has not returned to Texas.
