Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office investigating Baby Girl’s Death


MARSHALL, MI – A baby girl has died and the Calhoun Countypolice-line-do-not-cross-investigation-graphic Sheriff’s Office wants answers.  They have launched an investigation into her death.

In a press release authorities state that on Thursday, December 18th, 2014, at 6:25pm medical personnel were dispatched to the 10000 block of old US-27 in reference to a 20-month-old child being unresponsive.




The child was taken by ambulance and transported to Bronson Methodist hospital in Kalamazoo where the child was listed in critical condition.

On Thursday, December 18th, 2014, at 9pm the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office was contacted and advised the child had sustained an injury.

The Calhoun County Major Crimes Task Force was activated to assist in the investigation.

On Friday, December 19th, 2014 at 2:37pm the 20-month-old baby girl passed away.

An autopsy will be performed at a later date to determine the cause of death.
