GRAND TRAVERSE COUNTY, MI – A Blair Township man was arrested after he allegedly tried to strangle his wife.
According to the Grand Traverse County Sheriff’s Department, on Wednesday, December 17th, 2014, at approximately 4:00am, deputies from the Grand Traverse Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence in Garfield Township to meet with the victim of a domestic assault that occurred earlier in the night at a residence in Blair Township.
Deputies spoke with the victim who stated she had been assaulted and strangled with a coaxial cable by her husband.
The victim did not receive medical treatment at the time that the incident occurred.
Deputies gathered further information and executed a search warrant at the couple’s residence in Blair Township where they arrested a 42-year-old Traverse City man for Aggravated Domestic Assault with Strangulation.
