According to Deputies, a 2013 Buick SUV driven by a 78-year-old New Baltimore man was eastbound on Lynd Road when he failed to stop at the signed intersection. His vehicle was then struck by a northbound 2012 Chevrolet Cruze being driven by a 31-year-Sandusky man. The collision caused both vehicles to leave the roadway and come to rest in the northeast ditch of Butler Road.

The New Baltimore man was transported to Marlette Hospital by Marlette EMS, while the Sandusky man along with his 5-year-old daughter and 18-month-old son were transported by personal vehicle to Marlette Hospital for treatment.

All occupants in the vehicles were properly restrained and alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash.

Sanilac County Deputies were assisted at the scene by Marlette EMS and the Marlette Fire Department.
