Gaylord Police investigating possible Prostitution Rings working out of area Hotels

OTSEGO COUNTY, MI – Gaylord Police are in the midst of an prostitution

investigation into possible prostitution rings working out of area hotels.  During the investigation it is what they uncovered that alarmed them and need the community to be aware.  They are calling it “a public health issue”.

Authorities in Gaylord started their investigation less than a week ago when they received a tip about prostitutes working out of area hotels.  Police have confirmed one of the individuals, who described herself as an “escort,” to be HIV Positive.

Police have revealed that she had been working a list of clients in the Gaylord area.  They say participants involved in these rings include local individuals as well as individuals from surrounding communities and southern Michigan.

Authorities are urging anyone who may have been involved in such activities to please get tested or contact the Gaylord Police Department immediately at (989) 732-1777 .
