Wexford County car crash leaves Two Dead


MANTON, MI – Two people were killed and two were injured after a deadly car crash just north of Manton on Friday, January 2nd, 2015.Fatal Crash

Police believe that icy road conditions on the Manistee Bridge on US 131 may have caused the fatal accident.




The two cars involved in the crash collided when one, driving north, lost control and crossed over the centerline hitting a southbound vehicle.

The driver, Carolena Elowsky, 20-years-old, and the passenger, Maura Brandi, 20-years-old, both of Charlevoix, of the northbound vehicle were each pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver, Robert S. Campbell, 61-years-old, and his passenger, Stacy Campbell, 50-years-old, both of Kingsley, of the southbound vehicle were transported to Munson Medical Center for treatment. One was airlifted to the hospital while the other was taken by ambulance.
