GLEN ARBOR, MI – The 94-year-old male subject, William Hartwell Bricker who was arrested the evening of September 23rd, 2014 on the extraditable warrant from Teton County, Wyoming for Sexual Assault against Child has died.
Bricker’s lawyer says he died Friday, January 10th, 2015 at his home in Glen Arbor where he was in poor health and under hospice care.
It was very evident in his booking photo that Bricker was very ill at the time when he was arrested.
The Chicago Tribune did an extensive investigation into William Bricker where they published an article on January 10th, 2015 following his death. The story references many places and accusers of Bricker. Claims of sexual abuse date back to as early as 1968.
Bricker died a day after a doctor tried to determine if he was mentally competent to understand that Wyoming was trying to extradite him.
He was charged in Wyoming with sexually assaulting children at a Teton County camp in 1962, 1968 and 1985. He had also been a very popular gym teacher in the Winnetka, Illinois school district and was also a Boy Scout leader.
