LEXINGTON TOWNSHIP, MI – The suspect in the October 28th, 2014 one vehicle fatal traffic crash that claimed the lives of 18-year-old Dakota Moore and 17-year-old Danielle Torrez has been charged.
The driver, 21-year-old Laken Williams of Lexington was arrested by Sheriff’s Deputies during the afternoon of January 26th and has been arraigned on the following charges stemming from the accident; Two (2) 15 year Felony Counts of Reckless Driving Causing Death; One (1) Count of False Report of a Felony and One (1) High Court Misdemeanor Count of Lying to a Peace Officer – 4 Year or More Crime.
The high speed roll-over accident occurred on Roach Road west of Croswell Road in Lexington Township on Tuesday, October 28th, 2014 at approximately 11:07 pm. The then 20-year-old Williams originally claiming to be a passenger was the only survivor. She remains in the Sanilac County Jail on a $50,000 cash bond.
