FLINT, MI – There is no doubt that a 19-year-old Flint resident will spend the rest of his life behind bars after being convicted of three murders.
On January 28th, 2014, Deonte Gray was found guilty for the charges related to the July 15, 2013 homicides of Akeem Easterling, Trashawn Macklin and James Allen. Gray was found guilty of three counts of first degree premeditated murder and one count of felony firearm.
Police say his crime spree started in July of 2013, when police say he killed 9-year-old Trashawn Macklin, 22-year-old Akeem Easterling and 26-year-old James Allen at Park West Apartments in Flint.
Gray lived at the apartments at one point. There was a dispute with one of the men, and two weeks later, Gray returned to the apartment and opened fire, killing three people.
