PECK, MI – On Thursday, January 28th, 2015, at approximately 3:00 p.m., Sanilac Central Dispatch received a 9-1-1 call regarding a domestic incident in the 100 block of E. Lapeer Street in the Village of Peck.
A woman called in and advised that a 28-year-old Peck woman had called her and had stated that her 31-year-old husband had threatened himself with a gun in the neighborhood of Peck Schools. As a precaution, Peck Schools were notified and the school was locked down for a short period of time.
According to Lt. Washkevich, responding Deputies made contact with the male subject and were able to take him into protective custody without incident across the road from the school. The male was transported to a Port Huron area hospital for psychological evaluation. His wife did not sustain any injuries during the incident.
The school was reopened without any further disruption.
Deputies were assisted on scene by Troopers from the M.S.P. Caro Post.
