FLINT, MI – A 57-year-old Flint man is behind bars once again for Home Invasion.
Lawrence McKinney has previous convictions for Home Invasion dating back to 2004. It seems he has not learned his lesson.
On Monday, January 26th, 2015, at approximately 1:15pm, Flint Police received a call to the area of Fenton & 12th Street, for a Breaking and Entering of a residence in progress.
A citizen in the area had heard breaking glass and observed a male crawling through a window into a home. Flint Police Officers arrived on scene and observed the suspect jump from a rear window of the residence. They began chasing the suspect on foot.
A retired Genesee County Sheriff’s Deputy was nearby and assisted in the chase. The officers caught the suspect and he was arrested and lodged in jail for Home Invasion and a misdemeanor warrant.
McKinney, has been charged and arraigned for Home Invasion 1st degree, Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Felony Firearm.
