PORT HURON TOWNSHIP, MI – The St. Clair County Drug Task Force seized a large quantity of methamphetamine during an investigation that concluded Saturday night, January 31st, 2015.
According to Sheriff Tim Donnellon, the DTF was conducting an investigation into the sales of methamphetamine in the Port Huron Township area.
On January 31st, 2015 at approximately midnight, the DTF requested the assistance of a Sheriff’s Office Road Patrol unit to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle that was suspected to contain meth.
The stop was made in the 4200 block of Lapeer Road. During a search of the suspect and the vehicle, more than $10,000 worth of methamphetamine was confiscated, along with a loaded handgun, cash, drug paraphernalia, packaging and scales.
A 32 year old Port Huron man was arrested. He is expected to face drug and weapons charges.
